Oakley is an American eyewear and sunglass brand established in 1975 by James Jannard. The company was built on the concept of the Oakley Grip which Jannard took from the Motocross motor bike grips and introduced to his sunglasses collection. The more the wearer perspires the more stick the rubber grips become.

Oakley quickly evolved into the giant it is today as more and more sports stars endorsed the companies products.
