In 2022 Gill Opticians invested in a piece of technology which has revolutionized the way lenses and frames are combined. Meet the ZEISS VISU FIT 1000 the latest innovation from ZEISS and only one of its type in Rep. Ireland.

Measurement data is processed using 45 million points. These individual facial measurements are used in the manufacturing of your individualised lenses.
Avatar Virtual Try On
Zeiss are currently uploading 360 degree scans of frames from suppliers. Once we have an avatar of our clients head we can accurately dispense a pair of glasses or sunglasses without having to have the frame physically in store.
Virtual Try On – This feature builds an avatar of the clients head so that frames can be virtually tried. This allows Gill Opticians to virtually show frames and colours available in a particular model or colour which is not in stock at that time.
This new tech allows us to show how a tint will look glazed into frame so there a Frame Comparison – If a client cannot decide between styles the frame comparison tool can be used. We can take unlimited photos and compare them on screen. If a patient cannot see themselves without their correction then this tool can also be used to aid the frame selection.
With this new innovation the quantity of stock Gill Opticians can carry virtually is virtually unlimited.
